Flock Health Club

If sheep farming is your passion and you want to learn more about how to farm sheep better our Flock Health Club is for you!

The club meets 4 times a year in a Monday evening to share a meal and discuss the latest thinking and research on how to farm sheep successfully. Our meetings aim to be informative and practical as well as being enjoyable. The group are friendly and welcoming so don’t worry about coming along. We also run a summer trip (open to all WVG clients) to visit innovative and interesting sheep farms which has taken us as far afield as Northumberland and South West Scotland.

Amongst the myriad of topics we have covered in those 5 years are:

Ewe Nutrition
Maximising lamb growth rates
Controlling Lameness
Beating parasites
Iceberg diseases
Understanding minerals
Lambing Challenges and how to beat them
Tackling Rural Crime

Members pay a monthly subscription of £20.56 including vat per farm which includes the meetings, an annual health plan and free worm egg counts.
