Rachel Black

Rachel grew up in Inverurie, Aberdeenshire.

She completed a degree in Zoology before going on to study Veterinary Medicine at the Univeristy of Liverpool, graduating in 2017. She has gone on to complete a Postgraduate Certificate in Small Animal Surgery in 2022.  She is very passionate about surgery and particularly enjoys soft tissue cases.

After graduating, she worked for 4 years in a busy veterinary hospital in Lancashire before moving to Westmorland Veterinary Group in 2021.

Rachel loves everything about her job, from the people she works with, to the clients she meets everyday and of course, all of the lovely animals she gets to treat. She has always loved being a vet and is really proud to work at Westmorland.

When she is not at work she enjoys the outdoors, whether it be walking the dogs, snowboarding in winter or travelling to new places. She also enjoys weight lifting at the gym on the rainier days!
