POST OPERATIVE INFORMATION

Your pet may not have fully recovered from an anaesthetic or sedative by the time they leave the surgery. They should be kept warm and quiet at home. Your pet may also appear unsteady as a result of the anaesthetic.

Anaesthetic after-effects may persist for a couple of days.

Do not allow your pet to overeat, or drink too much for the first 24 hours.

Your animal may have had hair clipped from it’s forelegs where the anaesthetic has been injected.

Please follow the Post Operative instructions given to you by the Veterinary Nurse on discharge.

If you are concerned about your pet’s condition or progress, please do not hesitate to contact the surgery.

Post Surgery check-ups will normally take a 5 minute appointment. Re-bandaging / x-rays  will require slightly longer..
